ANALYTICAL CHEMIST, UK

Being surrounded by talented, supportive and welcoming scientists and people, I have found it easy to adapt to the company culture and values of Moldons Pharmaceuticals UK.

My current assignment is to work with different projects; planning, method development and writing reports, all in close collaboration with the customer. As a Research & Development site, we can be more creative during method development, which makes the work even more fun.

I enjoy having different projects to work on, it challenges and enriches me.

Since Moldons Pharmaceuticals UK is a CDMO, the projects vary a lot, from bioanalysis to stability studies of API in solvents or biological samples, which makes the work very interesting. I have also had the opportunity to act as lab coordinator; the aim of this position is to guarantee a safe and functional work environment; but also as a Project Manager for one of our clients’ projects, supporting the main Project Manager with all questions related to Analytical Chemistry. During my second year the plan is for my current tasks to evolve a bit. I will support the Head of Analysis with customer relations but also acquire new skills in impurity identification using HRMS and protein analysis.

I have learnt a lot of things as this is my first job after my studies. I learnt about the pharmaceutical language, the process and clinical phases, management, etc.  I also learnt that this field is very competitive, and deadlines are important to follow. But there is still more to learn, my motto is to always try to learn new things and use those things to progress. I’ve learnt during this past year that I like to take on more responsibilities in the workplace and that I enjoy having different projects to work on, it challenges and enriches me.
